glimpse

grandan had the kids picking up sticks and pinecones.  it was fun!…for awhile.

we bought a little pool and splashed a little.

we built towers of sand.

we ate ice cream on the back porch.

we bought a slip ‘n slide while the wehner twins were visiting us for a few days.  more splashing.

we love to ride bikes and big wheels on the cement out back.  when we’re all outside its just like a little bustling town square.

and of course the go-cart is a BIG hit…

…when it runs!

we made a house out of pinestraw bales.  we played and cooked and ’slept’ and generally kept house.

emmi even dressed us up to make it more real.  –they were getting ready to go to school.

the chapmans have visited more than once.  we love living near enough to walk across the creek for a chat on the front porch.

lili, our girl with the shoe fetish, took melissa’s shoes for a spin and was surprisingly skilled at it!

all in all its been a memory filled summer ~ the hugs have far outweighed the scuffles.  we don’t know who has enjoyed it more ~ the kids making the memories or the parents watching them being made.  we LOVE cousin’s summer at grandan’s!
